Alright some time back I reported that I had a hell of a time with my Iphone 4 and the signal was bad and many calls were having troubles. I have an update on that .. the phone I had was buggy so I don\'t have a real account for that time period. Torch 9800 insight

So there was been a lot of talk about the device lately but there are a few tid bits I wanted to mention. One of which is that .. The Signal Strength is heady D. Like ultra strong you wont be losing signal almost anywhere. almost down to 20 , 40 DB in this game the lower the better, some other devices 90 db so this shows the strength of the device. As you know this is a Touch and Qwerty device but it is based on social networking and intuitive access. So that means they want you to be able to interact very well with the device and make it your own basically. And they are giving you the tools to do so.

But now the code does not work any more and you will not get your email any more unless you have a dedicated account for either data plan. BlackBerry or Iphone. All of a sudden emails no longer work and you have to have the phone specific data plan applied to your account.

So I had a chance to use this Iphone 4 and really give it a go for a few days the Media and Browser are nice but the signal is weak all round. I have said it before Apple is a computer company not a cell phone company. They don\'t now how to make a phone.

I feel as if they rushed the device and it could have been better. A vs B vs C BlackBerry Devices

So there has been a whole bunch of news out in the last few days on the new 9300,9800 BlackBerry Handsets. And well its probably a little overwhelming for the majority but .. lets try and think about this a bit. The flagship device was the BlackBerry 9700 and now its the 9800. Whats the difference .. the 9700 was a straight candy bar style with a QWERTY keyboard and the 9800 is a slider meaning it has a slide out QWERTY key board. Now there has been more changes besides hardware. The entire Operating system has been re written and new baseline devices have emerged.

\ ");document.write("The new BlackBerry 6.0 Operating system has hit the scene .. and the rendering engine. What is a rendering engine ? Its a way of showing images, text, and other types of media more efficiently. The new BlackBerry OS has a entire new rendering engine which includes a new web browser. What was wrong with the old web browser ? Well it was not equipt to handle large amounts of programming and media. So the new engine has the necessary resources to handle all that is needed.

Its one of main components behind the speed of the device .. it provides a temporary storage place for information that will be used again later on ... Game Day! 12 midnight last night I called in to rogers to see if they were selling the iphones on the phone or if the website is going to have them. Low and behold I sat on the phone on hold for 2 hrs straight .. finally got to talk to someone and they swore up and down that I got a upgrade .. and that it was all good. So yeah I talk to the agent for a bit they told me that there were places where there was 800 people lined up to get iphones. I was, like OMG. So I wen to off to play on the rogers website a bit and found some prices and a thing called eligibility tool for hardware upgrades .. uhm big fail. It was broken lol - found news on redboard.rogers.com that they were working to fix the tool \ ");document.write(" \ ");document.write("So I tried to goto sleep after that .. phhh haha 330 came around started checking email and fiddling around 530 am .. uhm ph !@# get up! \ ");document.write(" \ ");document.write("So I get it in my head I gotta get out of here and go get one...so I get ready and run out the door jump in the van and we\'re off! I get to kingston, ontario and the plan was to goto costco since I was a member there. So we talked shop for a bit, then out of the corner of my eye upstairs I saw someone walking and one of the guys from the pack at about 8 am went to see what was up .. I knew the manager .. so I jetted up the stairs to the wireless wave ! hehe they had 3 phones I got the 1st one. 2 others went almost right after me. Downstairs 15 minutes later the line went from 5 to 25 lol kept checking back and then the wireless wave guy turns to me and shows me a pic of 300! people in ottawa trying to get a iphone 4! wow \ ");document.write(" \ ");document.write("I was like oh boy heheh! \ ");document.write(" \ ");document.write("rogers sales central was up and down .. for the entire morning because of all the activation requests by the time I was done it was like 11 am and 4 hrs had past.. Well lets see here there is a lot going on today .. we have the canadian launch of iphone 4, BlackBerry OS 6, BlackPad, microsoft surface, and more ...

\ ");document.write("So we will start with the Iphone 4 Launch tomorrow - now the devices will be all unlocked, and they will run on a micro sim card. not a regular one. there are bumpers coming in the cases apparently to avoid attenuation. And BestBuy is giving away side films instead of bumpers apparently .. so the iphone 4 comes with a longer battery life, a hd display, and a truckload of new features. Tomorrow being game day to get an Iphone 4 I would say getting up early and running out to the nearest store is a good idea :) smiles

\ ");document.write("On to BlackBerry OS 6 I have seen all the videos and it looks very nice and well thought out. OS 6 is going to be good. I can tell that RIM has been hard at work. The touch screen design is nice and the tabbed browsing is going to be easy to use. There is apparently a launch on aug 3rd with AT&T in the U.S should prove to be interesting.

There are RFID chips that work with the device and it will store a certain amount of information that can be accessed from the MS Surface Tablet.
